The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus


Dear Friend


We wanted to make sure that everyone on the Divine Mercy for America team was aware that today is not only the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus but that it is also the World Day of Prayer for the Sanctification of Priests.


At this precise time when there is so much outrage, discouragement, and even fear over what is and what is not going on in the Church and it seems good & faithful priests are being persecuted and "bad" ones are being promoted, we MUST do our part for the sanctification of priests - and Jesus tells us how.


"Your purpose, and that of your companions, is to unite yourselves with Me as closely as possible... I place in your care two perals very precious to My heart: these are the souls of priests and religious.


You will pray particularly for them; their power will come from your diminishment. You will join prayers, fasts, fortifications, labors and sufferings to My prayer, fasting, mortification, labors and sufferings, and they will have power before my Father."

Diary of St Faustina, 531

 

We encourage you to reflect on these words of Jesus deep in your heart and to resolve to do as the Lord directed St. Faustina for His precious pearls. In this way, you will undoubtedly be of great service to our Holy Church and our nation.
