Subject: Fast Friday Food for Thought: Penance Anyone?

A short interview with Fr. Kloster explains how, why, and the benefits of penance
-

Dear Friend,

The Saints of the Church often talk about our need to do penance. Many of them performed very heavy forms of penance in atonement for their sins and the sins of others.

But what about us today? Why should we do penance and what is penance anyway? Father Kloster explains and Joan shares some practical recommendations.

Final food for thought from Fr. Kloster:

"The more you go to Confession, the more penance you do,

the more a guard that is against oppression psychologically

by the demons."

Sounds like wisdom to me, especially in these increasingly trying times. Fast well today dear Friendbecause you ARE Divine Mercy for America!

Meet Hannah!

Right now we are in need of support for much-needed assistance in our office. We have a fabulous high school student on a work-study program that has been a tremendous help. If you can help us keep her employed, that will help her, help us, and help you too! Thanks for your consideration!

God bless you and God bless America because of you!
