Abel alway wanted to learn how to wrestle and do jiu-jitsu.


But life got in the way...big time.

This just goes to show that you're never too young to be old and you're never too old to live young.


He made a change...and to do that, he moved into my gym.


Yep, as in bought a fold-up mattress, pillow and fridge, then moved in to make 7am daily practices and wrestling class in the evening. At the same time, he learned the 5 pillars of living young and he got job and began living way under his means so the didn't go into debt and is able to save money.

P.S. Abel is a dog!  He's full warrior - hates tapping and when he gets near a submission, he holds on for dear life. On my birthday he caught me in a triangle and I had to damn near 'go to the light' just to get out, LOL. Yea, that's a stupid way to train but it was my birthday and damn it if I'm tapping to Abel at 48yo :) He will be competing at the no-gi world championships in one week!
