Nine years ago Lily and I set out to make the most luxurious soap bar.  It had to be perfect it in every way; lush lather, ultra-delicate and yield a heavenly scent from only the finest essential oils.

Soap making for Lily came from failure. Math. As her dad, I set out to teach her a real world application of math - Babylonian soap making. That process was birthed in 2800 BC and marks the beginning of chemistry and medicine! In fact, Babylonian soaps are still considered the the absolute best antibiotic and antiviral!

She listened attentively...for 5 years straight we made soap every Sunday! It takes practice to get good. It takes years to be great.

It paid off.

She's won state and national awards. She even traveled the world teaching others the beauty of saponification. That culminated into a masterclass on soap making, which has sold tens-of-thousands of downloads.

The lesson?

Only great things can come from failure when you decide to never quit. She listened and has been practicing this well over the last decade since - fail, get up, start over, repeat.
