In the 1950s, the FDA approved thalidomide for morning sickness. The marketing claims touted that it was “ultra-safe." 

Hell, it was on the cover of LIFE magazine! 

Within a few years, Germans discovered it caused birth defects that make you nauseous…Imagine a mother making a decision to take a drug for nausea to learn that her child would be born without arms and legs, as a result.

It was FDA approved, until someone discovered that it killed users via stroke.  Instead of pulling it from the market, it was released in stronger doses. 

Why? Because it’s as profitable as bottled tap water.

In 1999, the FDA approved the anti-inflammatory, Vioxx. It was backed up by heavy marketing and sold as “the safest pain killer in history.”

It caused 27,785 deaths according to “official medical records.”  The real figure, according to The Legal Examiner, is more than 500,000 deaths.

What about the opiate crisis that has enslaved and killed millions?  The FDA used Pharma’s marketing material to brag that the painkillers had a 1% addiction rate!  

…then they approved them for 12 year olds.

What about cholesterol meds? It's a well known fact, by now, that low cholesterol is a top killer. Also, the "blockbuster" pills that lower it cause dementia, cancer, kidney failure and Alzheimers.

It's still being pushed as one of the must haves for anyone over 30 yo....

Never.
