When I was 14 years old, my mom rushed me to the doctor for extreme fatigue. I was diagnosed with a sugar-eating illness known as hypoglycemia (low blood sugar).
That was my early push into chemistry.
It was also the impetus for me finding a cure to everything from obesity, Type 2 diabetes, heart disease, dementia, and Alzheimer’s disease…
Hypoglycemia causes blood sugar to fall like an elevator with a snapped cable. If left untreated, it can cause seizures and permanent damage to the nervous system.

For me, hypoglycemia was a blessing and a curse. It was the reason behind my passion for sports and medicine. This parlayed into me winning a college wrestling scholarship and getting a bachelor’s degree in Biology and Chemistry.
I later went on to earn a master’s degree in Organic Chemistry, which helped me become a bench chemist for a top pharmaceutical company. But, at the same time, it almost steered me into a lifetime of behavioral problems, alcoholism, and medication use.

Today, most people suffer from a sugar-eating illness. Yes, all illness comes from sugar. If you eat anything with cane sugar, coconut sugar, fructose, or high-fructose corn syrup, then you’re suffering from one or all of these symptoms:

Am I Going To Die!?
As a kid, I thought hypoglycemia (caused by high blood sugar) would kill me. There are a dozen other ways I’d rather die. First you get dizzy—a sign that the Grim Reaper is closing in. Your world shrinks to focusing on what’s right in front of you, as your body attempts to stay conscious.
Then, uncontrollable hunger sets in—the kind that gives rise to cannibalism if that’s your only option.
If you don’t pass out, then you’re possessed by “psychoglycemia,” an emotional whirlwind of confusion, rage, frustration, anger, and desperation. People around you either get out of your way, or get eaten.
When my blood sugar registered 47 mg/dL (normal is about 80 to 95 mg/dL) at a routine doctor’s visit, physicians told my mom to give me “more sugar.”
She acted as if “doctor’s orders” were so special, they should be carved on a plaque. She complied by giving me Jolly Ranchers. Yea, f@#cking Jolly Ranchers.
If I failed to carry my new “preventive medicine” with me, I simply ditched school for a trip to the nearest gas station for sugary evil.
I had fewer “attacks.” But when they did come on, they hit harder.
Eventually, I started stealing candy because I couldn’t keep up financially as a young, jobless teen...
I was officially a sugar addict.
My brain chemistry had changed for the worse. This was manifested by me eating shit like candy, chocolate, donuts, and sucking down Gatorade, orange juice, and soda.
At the same time—high and low blood sugar injects enormous cravings for alcohol and nicotine into the brain. This is why abstaining from both substances without addressing blood sugar woes and sugar addiction is futile...
In addition to the damn candy, I started drinking at 15 years old, as often as I could. Since I lived 45 minutes from the Mexican border, it wasn’t hard to get alcohol.
Little did I know, the alcohol was soothing my low blood sugar and helping me feel normal again! But it wasn’t sustainable—obviously—due to the overt toxicity, intoxication, and behavioral problems associated with alcohol.
After a few months, I finally accepted the absurdity of taking doctor’s orders to “eat more sugar.”
Wouldn’t it be more advantageous to figure out the cause of my low blood sugar and addiction, rather than use candy as the cure?
Doctors insisted there was no cure to hypoglycemia. They said it was something I had to treat if, and when, it set in.
I sensed bullshit.
There’s no way in hell I’m supposed to be eating candy to be “healthy”...I didn’t need a medical degree to figure that out… So, I bought a basic biology book and devoured it over a few months.
Turns out, reading is good for your health.
I learned that the hormone, insulin—from my pancreas—was being spiked, due to my own massive sugar intake from breakfast cereals, processed milk, yogurt, rolls, donuts, fruit, and juice.
Insulin forces muscle cells to suck sugar out of the blood. Because of this, my system was being inadvertently drained of it, as the hormonal wave of protection flooded my bloodstream.
I was furious that doctors couldn’t help me, especially considering that the answers were easily extracted from a college textbook.

Our body doesn’t need any sugar whatsoever.
The body regulates its own glucose requirements by converting fats, protein, and amino acids into sugar (glucose), as needed. Any disruption in this precarious ecosystem will shunt this innate hormonal protection.
Therefore, nobody requires processed sugar.
====> Cane sugar, high fructose corn syrup, artificial sweeteners, coconut sugar, brown sugar, whatever you want to call it, is all poison. (Even if it’s “organic.”)
I also learned that if my rate of sugar consumption kept up at its current pace, I’d become insulin resistant. Then Type II diabetic.
