Now that Austin has seen the worst of the Harvey system, efforts at the Emergency Operations Center are shifting towards preparation of sheltering evacuees. As of noon today we are showing 656 evacuees in shelters. The City of Austin and our regional partners have received a request to shelter thousands of evacuees, and we are determining our capacity.
