One question that's come up recently from a number of my students and consulting clients is this:
"Should I be marketing and pushing my business in light of what's happening around the World with the Corona virus?" Let me tell you where I stand.
YES - Yes, you should - And you should be doing it NOW MORE THAN EVER!
The worst thing you can do right now is to shy away from it.
To retreat back. To slow down. To stop...
... Sure the market might change, needs will differ, sure you may need to pivot in places - But you should never feel bad about promotion or selling if you're helping people.
You shouldn't risk losing your own business because you stop selling or promoting it.
You, your family, your employees and YOUR CUSTOMERS will ALL suffer.
Help Others, sell things, make money! - (Just remember we're talking about making money 'during' a crisis and not making money 'from' a crisis - If you're hoarding/price gouging or attempting to take advantage in some other way, then Karma is going to kick your ass and you'll deserve it)
Right now thousands, probably millions of people are heading towards isolation. Forced to stay home. They'll be finding themselves with time on their hands.
Worried about what comes next and YOU can help them. Shine the light on what you do. Encourage and motivate them to consider that working from home can be a solution. An AMAZING opportunity! Teach them how to use their time productively. Help them master new skills. Show them how to start or grow their own online business. Right now and in the months ahead the World needs more entrepreneurs.
This year and next YOU will be needed more than ever.
Don't retreat.
My heart goes out to anyone who has been affected by the Corona virus. And it's my sincere hope that you and your family remain safe and sound...
... It's going to be rough for a while, we will face different challenges in the months ahead, but there is no doubt in my mind that we can all make a positive difference.
Now is not the time to shy away from those challenges.
Be safe, keep going and as always
To Your Success, Simon Hodgkinson
P.S. Right now I'm working on something just for you that you can use to help people even more - stay tuned it should be ready tomorrow.
