Dear Friend,
Hope you are doing very well!
Last week, the LA County Department of Mental Health informed us that our program Mind Matters: Overcoming Adversity and Building Resilience had been approved as a Prevention and Early Intervention Model for community outreach services. We are thrilled with this recognition because it will help so many more people benefit from its research-based content.
Mind Matters’ lessons teach people aged 12 and up to heal from Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and other negative experiences with innovative methods. These skills give individuals a way to take charge of their emotions and improve their states of mind. Participants learn to address their physical, relational, and mental health needs. It can be taught by paraprofessionals in the community to groups or individuals. It is currently being implemented in schools, community colleges, community organizations, and child welfare settings.
If you would like a free, online, 15-day copy to review, please email me at kayreed@dibbleinstitute.org. With all good wishes,
