October 12th. General Meeting Summary
Our General Meeting on October 12th had a member attendance of 22. We discussed three main topics:
LTPC The DFW Building Fund Long Term Planning Committee report was given by our Realtor member Khraish Khraish. He reported on our continuing daily efforts in our search for a new DFW temple or property to establish a permanent home for our group. The details of our Temple 2020 Project effort can be found on our web site. Our Building Fund now holds almost $142,000.
SPECIAL SERVICES Time Change Issue It was discussed if we should have a time change for Special Services that fall on a weekend to be earlier or later. There will be no change for these services. They will remain at 7:00 pm if they fall on Saturday or Sunday evening. During the week, Monday thru Friday, they will stay the same at 8:00 pm
AWAKE
The AWAKE film promotion effort was summarized nicely by our AWAKE coordinator Sara Salih. We had a strong presence in our DFW area which included extensive social media channels. We thank everyone that helped make this a success by passing out flyers and posters and contacting friends. This outreach effort by each community is a major reason why the film is having the great success it is across the country. See AWAKE UPDATE below for more information. |
