Cheerfulness
Cheerfulness consists principally in the attitude of the mind, and is conditioned only incidentally by outside factors. Your happiness need not die, stricken by poverty, sickness, or sorrow. Realize that enough hidden strength lies within you to overcome all obstacles and temptations. Bring forth that indomitable power and energy by being cheerful at all times, in spite of adverse circumstances. Only when you lose your mental balance are you vulnerable to suffering. If you are burned by the fire of difficulties, apply the salve of cheerfulness until your inner balance and peace are restored. --Paramahansa Yogananda |

DFW Chapel Services Update
We continue to monitor updates and news from both local and SRF sources regarding the opening of our DFW Chapel for services. As you are aware, the recommendation to adhere to social distancing guidelines remains for the purpose of maintaining safety for ourselves and others. We take your safety very seriously and know that the small size of our Chapel poses distinct challenges regarding adherence to social distance guidelines. We very much look forward to the time when our services can resume and at that time we will send out notifications and updates.

An Excerpt from Phoenix Temple Announcement Bro. Vajrananda Bro. Naradananda Bro. Devananda (Bro. Devananda is also our group counselor)
As you all know, we recently conducted a survey regarding re-opening the SRF Phoenix Temple. The results show us that we are not yet ready. The plan now is to wait for a while and then, take another survey.
Let's continue to use this period of time as an opportunity to turn more within, since it seems to be God's will that we continue like this. The three of us monks are all well in our little ashram next to the temple. We keep busy handling emails, counseling, and other minor tasks.
