Practicing Gratitude and Thanksgiving
"Thanksgiving and praise open in your consciousness the way for spiritual growth and supply to come to you. Spirit pushes Itself out into visible manifestation as soon as a channel is opened through which It can flow. You should be thankful for everything at all times. Realize that all power to think, and speak, and act comes from God, and that He is with you now, guiding and inspiring you."
"Open your eyes and see the good that you now have, and then keep alert and alive to recognize each new manifestation as it comes to you. Speak with devotion to the Father and thank Him for all the good things of life. He is with you always, and nothing can interfere with success if you acknowledge the divine Power within you."
~Paramahansa Yogananda |

The Guru is Ever With You
"It is very true that God, being omnipresent and omniscient, already knows everything, not only about you, but about everyone. Yet He tests all His devotees. If you read the lives of the saints you will see that even they were tested, sometimes severely. So none of us should expect to be an exception!
The devotee of God should understand that this life is a school, and the process of learning and growing can be painful. Nevertheless, we must always remember that the purpose of God's tests is to help us drive out some spiritual weakness that is keeping us apart from Him. If we accept them with the right attitude, they teach us that we can rise above all obstacles to overcome the little self and manifest the soul, one with Him.
Take comfort and strength from knowing that you are never alone. Our Guru is ever with you in the battle of life, guarding and guiding you with invisible arms of love. And he has given you this assurance: "Remember that as a child of God you are endowed with greater strength to overcome than you will ever need for all the trials God may send you."
~Sri Daya Mata Self-Realization Magazine Fall 1984, Page 39

Lake Texoma Fall 2022 Retreat
There was great interest in our Fall retreat on the beautiful grounds of Ms. Lynn Meyer's home at Lake Texoma. We had 36 attending for the day's activities. This DFW-SRF Meditation Group event is held in the Spring and Fall where we enjoy a day of spiritual inspiration, meditation, fellowship, and delicious vegetarian food prepared by Lynn. These retreats are specifically for adults aged 16 and over.
Youth retreats are also held at this location by SRF and will be announced when they are planned.
Master often expressed the importance of going on Retreats. He stated the idea of a retreat is to escape the demands of our daily lives and to allow the respite of totally focusing on deepening our relationship with God and Guru.
We look forward to you joining us next Spring when we hold our next retreat.
