Lord Jesus Christ
"This is my commandment, that ye love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."John 15:12-16
Paramahansa Yogananda Commentary--
"Repeatedly in this final dissertation addressed to his disciples, Jesus emphasized his loving command to them: 'Love one another with the divine, unconditional love with which I have loved you.' He wanted them to uphold the ideal of love in its most sublime human aspect: divine friendship.
Friendship is the purest human expression of God's love, because it springs not from any dictates of biological or social instincts but from the free-will choice of the heart."

Annual Spring Social
After Sunday services at 12:00 noon on April 7th we will hold our annual Spring Social Celebration. Food will be provided and the children will be helping serve again this year. It gives them a true understanding of serving others and putting Master's teachings into action.
This popular event is in celebration of the gift of everyone's service to our group and the worldwide spiritual work of Self-Realization Fellowship.
Everyone is invited for this fun and festive event to say "Thank You" for your generous free will contributions for the monthly upkeep of our Center, the Chapel 2020 Project, and all of the committees that pour out their hearts and efforts for Master's work.
It is the faithful practicing of the SRF techniques of meditation along with all of the wonderful service performed that makes Master's "hives" capable of providing the "honey" of God's presence felt by all.
Please plan to attend this event for the joy we all share in each others company, as part of Master's worldwide family. |

Chapel 2020 Building Fund Our Local Building Fund donations in February pushed us over $300,000. The fund is held by Mother Center and is under their tax exempt status. We receive an accounting of the updated balance periodically from Center Department.
Thank you for your continued support of our local Building Fund. It is supported entirely by generous donations.
We have an LTPC (Long Term Planning Committee) committee consisting of John Salih, Chairman, Khraish Khraish, and Chandra McCormack. They evaluate the potential properties that are brought to their attention for analysis of suitability for our needs. These properties are found by devotees who spot properties they happen to see while out doing their normal activities and by two devotees who have access to specialized real estate databases. Of main consideration are the monthly cost requirements for upkeep and maintenance that our group can afford at the present time. Mother Center will not allow a group to be overburdened with debt as that is contrary to our main purpose, which is meditation on God and Guru. |

Guided Meditation Services
Guided Meditation Services will begin Saturday, May 4th.
The first Saturday of each month will be a three hour Guided Meditation Service.
Guided Meditations offer a unique opportunity for our members to incorporate the benefits of a long meditation in a group setting which strengthens the vibrations for all participants. Many students find that Guided Meditations inspire them to perform the techniques more faithfully and with deeper concentration. No details of the techniques will be given by the leader. If you wish to get the techniques of meditation as taught by Paramahansa Yogananda you must subscribe to the SRF Lessons. |
