Guru Purnima Service Saturday, August 1, 2015

We will be celebrating Guru Purnima on Saturday, August 1st with a very special Saturday 3 hour meditation service. 

This day is a sacred day celebrated by devotees throughout the world who follow India's tradition of paying homage to one's guru. We will be offering our devotions to our blessed guru and pure channel of God's love, Paramahansa Yogananda.

Please join us for this special occasion. The service will be from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday, August 1, 2015. Please enter and exit only during a chant and try to be with us from the beginning to receive the most benefit.

11:45 - Master's Collector's Series CD#6, "Follow The Path Of Christ Krishna And The Masters"/Hymn to Brahma chant/healing service/closing prayer

SRF Convocation 2015


Self-Realization Fellowship Convocation 2015 is held August 16th to August 23rd this year. Thousands of members of SRF from the US and around the world will share in a week of fellowship and spiritual renewal in Los Angeles, California, which began with Paramahansa Yogananda presiding at the first Convocation in 1950. On this occasion he predicted:

"They shall come from all parts of the world, thousands and thousands of them, just as you have, for Self-Realization is bringing the original Christianity of Christ and the original Yoga of India's Krishna so that all people of all religions can follow one highway to the Infinite."

Post Convocation Catered Social

On August 30, 2015, at 12:00 pm, after our Sunday services we will have our annual post convocation social to share the wonderful experiences of those that attended this year. This is a favored event each year and it is catered with vegetarian Indian food. Please come and enjoy this uplifting event with us. 
No Sunday School August 16 and August 23

Due to the annual SRF Convocation there will be no Sunday School August 16th and 23rd.
New DFW Chapel 2020 Building Fund Display
 

Be sure to look over our new and beautiful Building Fund Display Board. It is a wonderful centerpiece for our bookroom and we hope it will inspire our members to remember our focus on the future of the work of SRF in the Dallas Fort Worth area. It is our hope to have the funds for a new home by 2020. The progress bars are for the year, on the left, and for the goal of the project on the right.

Your donations and support for this project are appreciated and are tax deductible. The Building Fund donation page on our website is an easy and convenient way to support our project.
Austin, TX,  Monastic Visit September 25-27, 2015

Self-Realization Fellowship is happy to announce that monastic disciples will be visiting Austin, TX, September 25-27, 2015 for inspirational programs, meditation classes, and a Kriya Yoga Initiation.

All information about this event can be found on this web link including program agenda, and hotel accommodations.

New Kriya Yoga initiates must have the proper forms filled out and returned to Mother Center by July 25, 2015. All necessary forms can be found in the above web link.
