Importance of the festival/event
|
| Sankramanam means Transit. It is related to the transit of Sun to a different Rasi (zodiac sign). Each Sankramanam is named as per the rasi the transition is made to like Makara, Kumbha, Meena, Mesha, Vrishabha, Karkataka, Simha, Kanya, Tula, Vrischika, Mithuna and Dhanus rasi. On Sankramanam, abhishekam is performed to Lord Ayyappa with milk, curd, honey, ghee, flowers etc. This kind of abhishekam gives prosperity, achievement of all desires, eliminates negative forces, getting rid of negative karma and will give you immense joy and success in life. |

Sunday's: 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM
No prior appointment required to visit the temple during Dharma Darshan.
All Days: Open to Annual Poshakas, life members, trustees and sponsors, prior online APPOINTMENT is required.
