Due to the existing pandemic restrictions with the limit in the number of people gathering at one place, only LIMITED number of devotees are allowed to participate in this event. All current Poshakas, Life Members and Trustees are allowed to visit the temple during the open timings (8:00 to 9:30 AM and 5:00 to 6:30 PM). After sponsoring online, please schedule your visit by clicking here and make sure you follow the temple visit guidelines when you visit the temple.
For all devotees, Dharma darshan is every Saturday from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. No prior scheduling is required for Dharma darshan.
Importance of the festival/event
Sri Adi Shankaracharya’s birthday is celebrated as Shankara Jayanthi. Sri Adi Shankara is considered an incarnation of Lord Shiva and the greatest Guru (Jagad Guru). He purified Vedic knowledge by teaching discernment and instituted the worship of Deities as worshiping different forms of the One God.
