Sri Rama Navami Celebrations
April 4th & 9th, 2017 Rama Navami is a spring festival that celebrates the birthday of God Rama. Lord Rama is seventh avatar of Vishnu. The festival is a part of the spring Navaratri, and falls on the ninth day of the bright half (Shukla Paksha) in the Hindu calendar month of Chaitra masa. Rama Navami is typically celebrated by Rama Katha recitals, or reading of Rama legendary stories.
