KUCHIPUDI DANCE WORKSHOP

Guru Hanumantha Rao Yelamanchili Garu is a disciple of the legend, Padmabhushan Dr. Vempati Chinna Satyam Garu.
He started learning Kuchipudi dance at the age of 18 at Kuchipudi Kalakshetra in Vizag under the guidance of Smt. Balakka.
Later he went to Kuchipudi Art Academy in Chennai for learning further and mastered the advanced techniques.

Hanumntha rao garu has participated actively and performed many leading roles in ballets such as Srinivasa Kalyanam, Rukmini Kalyanam,
Chandalika, Ramayanam, Haravilasam, Ardha Nareeswaram, Ksheera Sagara Madhanam, Annamayya, Kiratarjuneeyam and Gopika Krishna,
which were choreographed by Sri Vempati China Satyam. These ballets were performed all over India as well as in the all the major cities of North America,
Netherlands, Paris, Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.

At present, Hanumantha Rao garu has been teaching in his Guru’s institution, Kuchipudi Art Academy, Vizag.
He has conducted workshops in Hong Kong, Atlanta, New Jersey and Philadelphia in the last few years.
He is currently touring with his students who are performing Sri Krishna Parijatham in several cities in the US.

Details

• Morning Session: 9:00 to 11:00 AM, Evening Session: 3:00 to 5:00 PM
• Students will be evaluated first based on their proficiency level in Kuchipudi and will be trained accordingly. There will be separate sessions for different levels - beginners, intermediate etc. This is a golden opportunity for students to get trained under a reputed Guru like Sri Hanumantha Rao.
• Fee: $350 per learner/kid ($300 for subsequent learner/kid within same family).
• Venue: Multi ceremonial pavilion (MCP)
• Kids have the option of continuing their training remotely from India (using Skype / webcam) after the workshop.
