On Friday, the Lord is taken out in a procession around the temple on Hamsa (Swan) as His vehicle. Hamsa or Swan means pure. Hamsa is believed to have a high intellectual capability and can distinguish good from bad. After this, there will be Unjal Seva and Asthanam. As part of Navaratri celebrations, Parvathi Devi will adorn Meenakshi Alankaram after abhishekam in the evening. Devotees chant Sri Lalitha Sahasranamam after the abhishekam.
