Importance of Ugadi / Gudipadwa / Chetichand
|
Ugadi / Gudipadwa / Chetichand is celebrated as the New Year in many parts of India. The name Ugadi is derived from the Sanskrit words yuga (age) and ādi (beginning); the beginning of a new age. Asthanam will be conducted at the Temple which is presided by the commander-in-chief of the Lord’s army – Sri Viswaksena in the presence of Utsava deities of Lord Venkateswara, Lakshmi Devi and Bhudevi. Panchanga Sravanam will be held afterwards.
