Inflammation Post 5

Toxins

Another cause of inflammation is environmental toxins. A TOXIN refers to any substance that causes excess stress to the body.  They come from many sources, many of which we aren’t

even aware.  Air pollution, radiation, exhaust fumes, cigarette smoke, solvents, plastics,

pesticides, xenoestrogens, and harsh cleaning products are some of many. And don’t forget

the chemicals we put on our bodies – lotions, cosmetics, hair products etc, as well as the

chemicals we use to clean our houses. It is not surprising that our bodies struggle to cope

with this toxic overload. Our liver can help with detoxification but sometimes it needs a little

help

A good detox can help you eliminate toxins. In this video, Dt Axe explains very clearly why we need to detox and how to do it.

How To Detox Your Body (And Toxicity Warning Signs) | Dr. Josh Axe

In this video, he lists the best Herbs to help detoxify your body -   mint ginger, cinnamon, rosemary, dandelion, cayenne pepper and the best Essential oils - orange, rosemary, turmeric,

vetiver, black pepper.

You will also find simple detox strategies and recipes in my eBook.

‘Ten simple ways to detox’ which you can download here:

Essential Oils can also be used to replace toxic cleaning products. Essential oils such as

lemon, wild orange, clove, cinnamon bark, eucalyptus, rosemary, tea tree and oregano all can be made into effective cleaning products combined with white vinegar. These oils are

extremely effective in killing pathogens within the air and on surfaces and white vinegar has

naturally occurring anti-bacterial and antifungal properties.

In the next video, Theresa Harding talks about other essential oils that are good for joint

discomfort and how to use them correctly. The oils are Deep Blue (called Ice Blue in

Australia)

Frankincense, Helichrysum, Lemon Grass and Peppermint. Watch the video here – it is only about 4 minutes.
