Inflammation Post 3

The best way to reduce inflammation is to adopt an anti-inflammatory diet and move

away from overly processed, unbalanced diets of the West and towards the ancient eating

patterns of the Mediterranean.

A Mediterranean diet comprises plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables, little to no red meat,

certainly no chemicals or meat additives, and lots of omega-3 foods.

Food to eat lots of:

Leafy green vegetables, e.g. broccoli, cabbage, bok choi, spinach, kale

Blueberries

Beetroot

Coconut Oil

Walnuts

Salmon and other fatty fish (Omega 3)

Chia Seed

avocado

Turmeric/Curcumin

Ginger

There is a lot of great information on anti – inflammatory food in this video by Dr Axe

‘ Food as Medicine’ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SVIDLu7s4HE

You will also find recipes using many of the ingredients above in my eBook

‘Ten simple ways to detox’ which you can download here:

Check in a couple of days for other non-food causes of inflammation and what to do about

 them
