How can you reduce inflammation?

Inflammation Post 2– food to avoid

It is now recognized that most (if not all) ‘dis ease’ begins in the gut. So it makes sense to

eliminate (or at least reduce) the food that is known to cause inflammation.

The first 4 in the list are the worst.

· Sugar and High Fructose Corn Syrup – found in most processed/packaged food

· Partially Hydrogenated Oil (Trans Fat)

· Refined carbs such as white bread, white flour, white rice, pasta and crackers

Red meat

· Many oils e.g. Soybean oil, Corn oil, Canola oil (Canola oil is highly refined and genetically modified), Vegetable Oil

· Processed meats

· Excessive alcohol

· Soda/soft drink, even no sugar/diet drinks

· Margarine

· Gluten

· Genetically modified foods (GMO’s) such as corn and soybeans

· Non-organic grains (Rice, barley, rye etc.). Non organic grains are typically treated with

 chemicals, most often round-up.

· Any packaged food with a long list of ingredients that you do not recognize!

If you eat a lot of these foods then choose just one to reduce or eliminate totally from your

diet. Then notice if there is any difference in your symptoms after a couple of weeks. Then eliminate another type, and so on. You may not notice a difference immediately but don’t be discouraged,

In the next post, there will be some healthier/less inflammatory options that you can replace

these inflammatory foods with.

Which one of these are you going to eliminate? Comment below.

Look out for post 3 in a couple of days
