Hebrews 12:14 KJV- "Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord."
What does it mean to walk in holiness? To walk in holiness means to love God with all our heart, mind, and soul and to love our neighbor as ourselves (Matthew 22: 37-39 KJV).To walk in holiness means to live an obedient life to God's word, his commandments, and testimonies. To walk in holiness means to present our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is our reasonable service (Romans 12: 1 KJV). To walk in holiness means to have pure speech. For the Bible tells us to: "Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying that it may minister grace unto the hearers," (Ephesians 4:29 KJV). To walk in holiness means to lay aside every sin. "Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us," (Hebrews 12: 1 KJV). To walk in holiness means to be set apart from the things and peoples of this world. For the Bible tells us to "Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers; for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14 KJV). "Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing: and I will receive you," (2 Corinthians 6: 17 KJV). "And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty," (2 Corinthians 6: 18 KJV). It is okay to share the love and word of God with unbelievers, but to practice their lifestyle with them is something God is against. Father God, I pray we learn to live and walk holy by obeying your commands and shunning those things that you hate and clinging unto those things and practices that you love; in Jesus name we pray, Amen.
