There Are No Limitations On: ‘Wherever You Go’ Robert Schaetzle
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; be not frightened, neither be dismayed; for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9 RSV)
This is a wonderful command given to our Lord’s followers. When we come to make our declaration to accept and obey Christ and His spiritual leading, there waits for us a pathway of living hope.
Our walk ‘in Jesus’ really is impregnable to spiritual defeat. It is absolute. No power of darkness can cause us to lose our way when we walk in Him. This is the best reason to desire God’s Word in our heart — to memorize, meditate, and hear God’s voice in the Word which is our best weapon against all fear and doubt as to which path to follow.
There really is no better way to ‘stay on the narrow path.’ Recall the forty days Jesus was alone in the wilderness. His weapon against all that Satan threw at him was the Word of God. It was greater than all the latest guided missiles of any military might.
Regardless of wherever we might be stationed this side of eternity, God’s Word and the power of His spiritual presence is the best means for our defense. God’s guiding compass ‘Wherever You Go,’ helps us always remember – His presence is lighting the way. There simply is no darkness that can overcome His light, and there are no detours on the ‘King’s Highway.’
“This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light and in him is no darkness at all.” (1 John 1:5 RSV)
Father, keep our path shining bright every day with the promise of your Word, so that we never lose our way wherever we go. AMEN
