Do you know that your very life is described as precious to God? ‘Yeah sure,’ you say. We’ve all been told, “God loves you.” But with suicide numbers on the rise, too many do not believe how PRECIOUS the gift of life truly is.
No matter what you think, or how much of a mess you may have made of your life, you are precious. God assures you, “Because you are precious in my eyes, and honored, and I love you . . . “ Isaiah 43: 4.
The Psalmist understood that life is precious to God. Psalms 35:17 – “Lord, how long wilt thou look on? Rescue my soul from their destructions, my darling [precious life] from the lions.”
David understood the precious gift of life, even when he was threatened he might lose it by adverse circumstances.
Here is a key to discovering something else that is precious to God. Peter speaks to those who have obtained the same “PRECIOUS faith with us by the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ,” 2 Peter 1:1-2.
Your faith is precious. You are precious. God’s love and mercy are precious.
Father God, I trust you to hold my life in Your hands. I trust all life is sacred because Your Son died to redeem it. Thank You, Lord. Amen.
