God’s Faith Resides in Me – Tricia Draper

“And Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God,” (Mark 11:22 ESV).

The disciples had just remarked how amazing it was that the fig tree Jesus cursed the day before had completely withered. Jesus told them to have faith in God. Then He went on to tell them if anyone told a mountain to go throw itself into the sea and did not doubt, it would be done for them. I’m sure the disciples really marveled at that!

The point Jesus was trying to teach them was they could not have any doubt. Nothing would be impossible for them if they had faith in God and listened to His leading. The same is true of us today. When we listen to God and follow His will, we can have what we believe for. This won’t work if we are asking for something to satisfy our own desires. We must be walking with God and praying according to His plan for our lives. When we seek His will above our own, our requests will be answered.

Father, I put my faith in You. I turn to You with a pure heart and ask what Your will for my situation is. Please lead me in the way I should go. I believe I can have what I ask for when I put You first. Thank You for helping me grow my faith. In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
