God, The Justifier Of Those Who Believe In Christ – Lakella L. Davenport
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23 KJV)
“To declare, I say at this time his righteousness; that he might be just and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.” (Romans 3:26 KJV)
In the gospel of John chapter 8, the woman accused of adultery is justified by God through faith in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, because she refers to Jesus as Lord. “She said no man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, neither do I condemn thee, go, and sin no more,” (John 8:11 KJV).
Jesus didn't come into the world to condemn the world but to save it. Jesus came to seek and save that which was lost (Luke 19:10 KJV). There’s no room for us to cast stones. We’ve all sinned and come short of the glory of God. None of us are without sin, no matter how perfect we think we may be. If we commit one sin or ten, we’ve all come short of his glory and need the blood of Christ for remission of our sins. It’s through Christ – not through our good behavior that we are saved and brought into right standing and fellowship with God our Father.
The Bible tells us to remove the beam from our own eyes before trying to remove the mote or speck out of our brother's eye. We need to deal with the sins in our own lives, before we start pinpointing and judging others for their sins. Who are we to judge another man's servant? (Matthew 7:3-5 KJV). For, “He hath not dealt with us after our sins: nor rewarded us according to our iniquities,” (Psalms 103:10 KJV). “For as the heaven is high above the earth so great is his mercy toward them that fear him,” (Psalms 103:11 KJV).
We must have mercy on our fellow brothers and sisters. Mercy triumphs over judgment.
Father God, I pray that we strive to live in peace and love our fellowman as you have loved and forgiven us.
