Christmas and Valentine’s Day are long past. Resurrection Sunday is fast approaching. All are celebrations of love. We give chocolates, flowers, jewelry and other gifts as tokens of love. Valentines celebrate their romantic love for each other. On Christmas and Easter, however, we celebrate agape love. We celebrate God's love for us. He gave us much more than just a token of His love. He gave us the gift of Jesus – the gift of Life in Him.

Significant amounts of time and money are invested in the commercialization of holidays. Companies passionately promote their products in order to make a profit. But don't we have something far more valuable to promote? Isn't our goal more important than merely making a profit? Our objective is to see souls saved through faith in Jesus Christ. It is something none of us can live without.

What if those of us who claim the name of Jesus Christ promoted His message as well as the businesses promoted their products? Companies invest millions of dollars for 30 seconds of commercial time during a single football game. What if we all spent a few more minutes of our time each day sharing the greatest message of love ever told? The message of the Cross.
