Following Jesus, The Future Is Your Friend

When we’re seeking our Lord fully, there is great treasure to find to lead the way for our living. Our purpose and future can be filled with promise of things not yet seen. Our faith is given from God, so our pathway for living is secure. That doesn't mean there will be no detours or stumps that must be removed. Obstacles or detours do come our way, but God’s "way of escape" is promised. For certain, there is no temptation or roadblock our Lord will not lead us through.
Learning to identify and take hold of God’s resources to complete our journey will sustain us beyond our expectations. His provisions are best recognized when we fully understand: "Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God." 1 Corinthians 2:12 NKJV
Letting go of self-determination can be our biggest roadblock toward finding the ‘Narrow Path’ of His leading for us to follow. Many occurrences I have experienced; I was the stump in the road that had to be removed before the vision was made clear again.
Not many of us have had such traumas as Paul’s "Damascus Road" experience, but when our "dead end" road becomes visible, our Lord could be blinding our way for something far greater than what our natural inclination is revealing. We’ll be further along tomorrow when recognizing; greater is ‘He’ that leads our future.
