HOUSE OF PRAYER OR DEN OF THIEVES by Buife Nomeh
"And He said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves." (Matthew 21:13, KJV)
We all know that our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit and that we were bought with a great price. How do we revere God in our body? Do we bring Him glory or seek fleshly desires? What company do we keep? We have been called unto holy living by our Maker. He desires our fellowship with Him. We must begin to nurture the Holy Spirit in us and make our lives conducive for Him to reside in. Bad communication corrupts good manners. We have a responsibility to wisely choose our acquaintances. People who do not have the fear of God in them shouldn't be our focal point. If we look up to these ones, there is no doubt that we will be looking away from God, frustrating the Holy Spirit. We must allow God to choose our friends for us. He alone knows how to overthrow the tables of money-changers and merchants who desire our ruin. Spend quality time in the presence of God in prayer and in His Word. The more time we spend with Him, the more we become like Him.
