| Birthday Blessing by Melissa Biggs "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well." Psalm 139:14 (NIV) "I woke up this morning with my mind stayed on Jesus." Growing up in church, this line of a praise song would be heard on many Sundays. It reminded us that we should keep our focus on Jesus and His love throughout each day. As children of God, we strive to please Him with our obedience and service. It gives me great comfort to know that as I serve Him, God also has me on His mind. On this morning, as I woke up at 5:30 AM, the song on my mind was Stevie Wonder's "Isn't She Lovely." As I rested there in the darkness, the song "played" in my mind and I found myself smiling. Isn't she lovely, Isn't she wonderful, Isn't she precious..... Isn't she lovely made from love. What an awesome affirmation! In God's loving kindness, He chose to speak to me on this day through a song. He affirmed that I am lovely, wonderful, and precious to Him. Next, the husband. He chose to tell me, "Happy Birthday, I love you." Then, throughout the day, I received texts, calls, voicemails, Facebook posts and cards from family and friends to add to the celebration.
