Who Understands Faith? – Harriett Ford
I do not understand how a tiny seed can produce a giant oak tree. I do not understand how faith works. What is faith? How do I receive it? How do I activate it?
Faith is the evidence of things not seen, the substance of things hoped for.” (Hebrews 11: 1 NIV). Faith is supernatural. You don’t wait to believe (what you’re asking for) until you see it. That’s natural belief. In my words, supernatural faith is when You believe first what you do not see in the natural, and the substance of what you hope for will manifest—or become evident--in the physical world How do I receive faith? Romans (10: 17) says faith comes by hearing and meditating on God’s Word. Jesus said His words are spirit and produce life in our spirits and in all our flesh as well. By faith we understand that from invisible things the visible things are being made (Hebrews 11: 3). We do not understand this with the natural mind first and then faith comes. It’s faith first, then understanding comes. Faith can take us where the natural mind does not go. How do I activate faith? A careful reading of Mark 11: 23-24 teaches the believer speaks his faith and he has what he says. All biblical people did so. Faith works by love. How? I do not love perfectly, so I ask the Holy Spirit to fill my heart with His love (Rom. 5: 5). Supernatural love, peace, and joy. Father, I do not have to understand faith with my natural mind.
