Trust & Light – CD Swanson Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Psalm 37:3 (KJV)
An acquaintance of mine didn’t know what she was going to do as her unemployment benefits were going to end soon. A mother of two young girls, she was at her wit’s end, seemingly desperate for answers and solutions. She asked her church to pray for her and over her for help and strength to get through this rough patch, and never lost her faith while lying deep in the valley of woes and despair. You see she always believed and knew that the LORD would never let her down…and so she waited upon the LORD. (Be still and know that I am God…43:10)
The church did what they could in donations and offering meals to her and her family nightly, to which she was grateful. However, she wanted employment and confessed to me—“I’m starting to slip into the darkness, but I’m still reaching for the light…” Well, that light came just as her last unemployment check was deposited into her checking account. She received a call from a past employer who was looking for a trustworthy assistant in a newly created position at a company just formed. It came with full benefits, and it would accommodate the hours of which her children were in school, plus most times she could work from home! Praise God!
She never gave up, she never stopped believing, although it got a little tough at the end, she continued praying! (So I tell you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. Matthew 7:9-10)
Never give up on our LORD, for He will never give up on you!
“Father God, thank You, for Your love, and devotion, to us, Your children, in Jesus name, Amen.”
