His Presence - Karen Pourbabaee “Go through His open gates with great thanksgiving, enter His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him and bless His Name. For the Lord is always good. He is always loving and kind and His faithfulness goes on and on to each succeeding generation.” Psalm 100: 4-5 LB
In His presence is fullness of joy. (Psalm 16:11) Who wouldn’t like to be in complete joy? Many don’t know the way, but God has shown us the path in Psalm 100. We enter with thanksgiving and praise.
Psalm 100 offers three important reasons to praise God: The Lord is good. His love endures forever. His faithfulness continues through all generations. These reasons never change with our situation or circumstances. When in need of God’s presence, offer up praise. Just one example of praise bringing God’s presence is found in 2 Chronicles 5:13-14: when trumpeters and singers praised and glorified the Lord, then His temple filled with the cloud of God’s glory. The blessings of God propel us forward as Christian pilgrims. The blessings of His presence are found clearly in His Word;
Refuge: God’s nearness brings to us goodness and a place of refuge. (Psalm 73:28)
Rest: He promises His presence brings us rest. (Exodus 33:14)
Goodness: Dwelling in His courts bestows goodness in our lives. (Psalm 65:4)
Joy: His presence gives us fullness of joy. (Psalm 16:11)
Mercy and grace: We are given mercy and grace at His throne. (Hebrews 4:16)
God’s presence is both the place of our salvation and all the blessings that come from His merciful rescue of us. Seek His presence with a heart of praise. Be blessed forevermore.
