So many of us are completely familiar with what is commonly referred to as the “Great Commandment”—loving the Lord with all our heart, soul, mind and strength. However, many wonder if we’re worthy of such a “great undertaking.”
Our hearts can be capricious, souls can be conflicted, and our minds can be easily distracted. So many things revolve around time, which can be demanding, and draining. Sadly, we can neglect that which is the most important of all, focusing on the One, who is truly worthy of our full, and undivided devotion.
How can we do better? Develop a relationship with Him. Learn all about Him and His attributes.
Speak with Him daily, pray to Him openly. And, seek His face continuously, in all that you do.
As we learn about Jesus’ character, we see the Father more clearly. We know of our Father’s power and love. Consequently, the biggest way of revealing our Father’s persona, is through His Son.
The other way is to understand the depth of His love. And, that is again, through Jesus. Our Creator sent His Son (John 3:16) for us! This was done so we could live with Him forever, when we accept Him as our Lord and Savior, all things open to us.
