Bright Lights – Jennifer Woodley ‘Therefore consider whether the light in you is not darkness.’ Luke 11:35 (NRSV)
If the light of Christ and the principles of the Kingdom do not shine brightly from us, we will be a poor guide for others. If our eye looks away from His word and comes to rest on the values, beliefs, and pleasures of this world, the light that proceeds from us will grow faint and obscure. How well will we be able to help others know Christ then? Our testimony will be ineffective. Perhaps, as Jesus said, as useless as a lamp that burns in a cellar, offering no guidance to anyone.
Jesus asks us to give serious thought to where we stand today. There are parts of our lives not emitting a bright light that honors Him. What recesses of our lives need to be transformed so that they become a place that shines brightly for Christ? Perhaps our eyes have settled on becoming preoccupied with wealth and material possessions, or we worry excessively about our health or family matters. Maybe media which is often a medium full of gossip and sensationalism is our downfall subtlety drawing us further from the light Christ asks us to shine.
Whatever our place of darkness, if we truly want to be full of light we must surrender these dark places to Jesus. ‘Father search me and know my heart. See if there is any wicked way in me and cleanse me from all unrighteousness. I offer the dark places of my life to you and ask for your forgiveness. Help me to shine brightly for you. Thank you.’
Jennifer lives with her family near Toowoomba, Queensland and enjoys encouraging and mentoring others on their journey with Christ through writing. Contact |

Radical New Covenant Bible Studies for Radical Freedom in Christ
Jesus poured out His blood for the New Covenant of grace and truth, replacing the Old Covenant letter of the law of Moses. Believers are exclusively under the New Covenant, the last will and testament of Jesus that began after the cross. And in the same way He took the cup after they had eaten, saying, "This cup which is poured out for you is the new covenant in My blood. Luke 22:20

Perfect to equip the believer for defending their faith. Ideal to send to a skeptical friend or family member. Great for teens and young adults who have never reviewed the objective evidence for God's existence and identity.
An in-depth study of the factual evidence leads a person to realize how little faith they need to believe, while they gain great faith at the same time.
Running close to 5 stars with over 180 online reviews.
Recent Amazon Review:
"For anyone on the fence, backsliding, or doubtful this book clarifies misunderstandings, perceived contradictions, and outright lies. I was led to read this book at a time when I thought I was over Jesus; but truth defeats lies every time and never forsakes the believer." 2-18-17 |
