Faith Moves Through Godly Fear Robert Schaetzle “By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.” Hebrews 11:7 NKJV
The faith Noah displayed did not come through his human reasoning; it was given to him by God. Then Noah was moved with Godly fear to step out upon that faith and take action.
Just like Noah, our faith is given from above. “For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.” Romans 12:3
Once God provides the faith, it is up to us to step out past our fears. Blessings wait for those who will trust His leading and face their fear of opposition, ridicule and the fear of man. Godly fear of things not yet seen, can be a great motivator to overcome the fear of man and take action. So can the fact that God is a rewarder of those who seek Him and His will.
If our Lord sets a task before you that requires more than mere human strength and determination, be thankful, for it is a sure sign that He must show up to get it done. He will always provide the means and the way to accomplish all He asks of you. Once you purpose your life to honor God and lean heavily on his power and promises, anything can be accomplished.
Father, move us with godly fear to overcome the fear of man and meet the challenges of things not yet seen before us.
