Thanksgiving - Because of Jesus 1) I am righteous, right with God.
"For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God." 2 Cor 5:21 ESV
…for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation; he has covered me with the robe of righteousness … Isa 61:10 NASB
2) I am sanctified, holy and perfected.
The Greek word for sanctified and holy is “hagiazó” (I make holy, treat as holy, set apart as holy, sanctify, hallow, purify). It is also used in the Lord’s Prayer in Luke 11:2 for Hallowed, meaning holy. Greek word for justified (dikaioó) is the same Greek word used for righteous.
… but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified (made righteous) in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God. 1 Cor 6:11a NASB
And by that will, we have been made holy (sanctified) through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. Heb 10:10 NIV
For by one offering He has perfected for all time those who are sanctified (holy). Heb 10:14 NASB
And now I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and to give you the inheritance among all those who are sanctified. Acts 20:32 NASB
3) God will NEVER count my sins against me.
For I will be merciful toward their iniquities, and I will remember their sins no more. Heb 8:12 ESV
then he adds, “I will remember their sins and their lawless deeds no more. Heb 10:17 ESV
Blessed is the one whose sin the Lord will “NEVER” “ou mē” ( a double negative in the Greek) count against them. Rom 4:8 NIV
I’m thankful nothing can change these truths.
