"But the Gateway to Life is small, and the road is narrow…" Mathew 7:14 LB
The narrow road will lead us to our final destination---a heavenly home. We don't get to pick the day we arrive, or don't. But we do get to choose our roadin life. To enter that road, we must pass through the Gateway to Life, none other than Jesus Christ. In John 10:9, Jesus proclaims: "I am the gate. If anyone enters through Me, he shall be saved."
The highways of this earth are congested with elements of evil…distractions, despair, chaos, anxiety, doubt, danger, fear, to name a few. Travelers on this roadway succumb to faithless wanderings and mindless meanderings to an unknown destination. Along this road, can anyone find true meaning and purpose? Certainly, heaven will not await those navigating the highways of this world. Would you like to find an exit? An eternal exit?
Exit onto the narrow road. Along the route, you'll find:
Serenity:Peace is a blessing on this path because Jesus walks with us. Luke shares with us that the Lord will " …guide our feet into the way of peace." (1:79).
Safety: From the great protection psalm, Psalm 91, we learn that we can abide under the shadow of the Almighty and, in addition, His angels guard us in all our ways.
Salvation: Upon entering "The Gate", Jesus, we receive salvation or Sozo (Greek), meaning to save, heal, preserve, make whole. God brings us to wholeness of body, soul, and spirit as we follow Him along the narrow road.
Therefore, cease from your faithless wanderings and mindless meanderings. Choose the narrow road. Choose Jesus, and begin your journey that leads to life!
