Be Amazed - Robert Schaetzle “The men were amazed, and said, “What kind of a man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?” Mathew 8:27 NASB
How many of our waking hours do we purpose to witness something beautiful? To be amazed like the apostles were as they witnessed the power of God at work.
Each day when I rise, I purpose to dedicate the day to our Lord. In doing so, I know I’m resting in the very power of his presence. Regardless of the challenges that might come, Jesus will be my confidence and strength for the tasks before me.
I love writing, and every time I sit down at the keyboard, I first dedicate my thoughts and words for God’s honor. I ask for His Spirit to write through me, what God wants to be known.
In serving others and preaching of Him, I resolve that His power and authority will prevail.
I might be taking our dog for a morning stroll and pass someone I’ve never met. My thoughts are: “Lord, what do you want me to share with this person?” Ask Him in advance and you will ‘be Amazed’ of the words and actions of encouragement He will share through you. Sitting with my wife at the hospital during Christmas as she was administered her chemo treatment, I shared with the nurse a Christmas prayer I’d written years before. She thanked me and said she would post it at her nurse’s station.
On purpose, be available to “Be Amazed” because you never know when you’re presenting God’s presence to those in need.
