The Giants Are the Grasshoppers Harriett Ford Looking at natural circumstances instead of the supernatural?
We all do that most of the time. In the Numbers 13: 25-33 account, the ten spies compared themselves to the giants in the land instead of comparing the giants to God. They said: “We are like grasshoppers in their sight.” Whatever giants you may be facing today, they are only greater if you allow them to be.
Greater is He that is in you (the Holy Spirit) than he that is in the world (Satan, the god of this world).
All you need to do is speak God's promise, "we are well able to defeat the giants," as Joshua and Caleb did.
God does not go back on His word. He honored their faith. Of all Israel's fighting men, only Joshua and Caleb got to enter the promised land and they were well able (still strong in their 80's) to defeat the giants.
Looking only at the natural circumstances is focusing on the giants. Looking at God is focusing on His word. No weapon formed against you shall prosper.
Father, I choose to believe Your report and no report in the natural realm that contradicts what Your word says. I know that true wisdom has two sides, both a natural and supernatural. I will act with wisdom in the natural world, but I will act by faith in the supernatural realm, no matter how foolish I may appear. I choose to renew my mind according to what You have promised. I choose to believe that I have victory in Christ Jesus. I am well able to defeat the giants who try to prevent me from entering into the fullness of Your promises for me. Amen.
