The Way of Peace - Karen Pourbabaee “…Seek peace and pursue it.” Psalm 34:15 NAB
God has called us to peace. (2 Corinthians 7:15) God’s prophets heralded this call throughout the Old and New Testaments. Centuries after King David spoke in Psalm 34, John the Baptist was born, and his father Zechariah prophesied that he would prepare the way of a Savior that would “…guide our feet into the path of peace.” (Luke 1:79). We are meant to live on the path of peace. We are told to pursue peace with all men and to live in peace with others. (Hebrews 12:14, 1 Thessalonians 5:13) We are even to let peace sanctify us. (1 Thessalonians 5:23) Where can we find this elusive peace? How can we grasp it so that it may saturate and sanctify our lives?
Here’s a key: “Grace and peace to you from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.” (Romans 1:7) The New Testament writers nearly always began and ended their letters with this greeting that wished grace and peace in the lives of the people who would hear their words of instruction. The apostle Paul always associated grace with peace. Grace brings benefits; one is peace. Grace first, then peace.
Grace must come first. If we don’t have peace, then we are not receiving or resting in God’s gift of grace. We find grace in Jesus, for the Lord Himself is grace: “For the grace of God has appeared bringing salvation to all men.” (Titus 2:11) Christ’s coming brought the grace of salvation. When grace touches our lives, Jesus is revealed. Guess what? Jesus is peace, too! “For He is our peace…” (Ephesians 2:14) Surrender your life to Him, surrender to grace; that is the way to peace.

Radical New Covenant Bible Studies for Radical Freedom in Christ
Jesus poured out His blood for the New Covenant of grace and truth, replacing the Old Covenant letter of the law of Moses. Believers are exclusively under the New Covenant, the last will and testament of Jesus that began after the cross. And in the same way He took the cup after they had eaten, saying, "This cup which is poured out for you is the new covenant in My blood. Luke 22:20

Perfect to equip the believer for defending their faith. Ideal to send to a skeptical friend or family member. Great for teens and young adults who have never reviewed the objective evidence for God's existence and identity.
An in-depth study of the factual evidence leads a person to realize how little faith they need to believe, while they gain great faith at the same time.
Running close to 5 stars with over 180 online reviews.
Recent Amazon Review:
"For anyone on the fence, backsliding, or doubtful this book clarifies misunderstandings, perceived contradictions, and outright lies. I was led to read this book at a time when I thought I was over Jesus; but truth defeats lies every time and never forsakes the believer." 2-18-17 |
