Laughter and Fellowship Do Us Good Susan Ferguson A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones (Proverbs 17:22 NIV).
My head was throbbing with a sinus headache, but I was not going to cancel my lunch plans with friends. When I arrived at the restaurant, three ladies greeted me with bright smiles and big hugs. We sat at the table and began laughing and reminiscing about our high school days. The conversation turned to serious topics, and one of the ladies spoke up boldly, saying that we needed to lighten up, enjoy life, and trust Jesus with it all. Her wise words silenced us for a moment, and then we all agreed. The time I spent with my friends went by far too quickly. We said our goodbyes and promised to keep in touch. As I drove back home, it suddenly occurred to me that my headache was gone, and I felt amazingly rejuvenated. Good fellowship and laughter were just what I needed.
Fellowship with other Christians is necessary for our spiritual growth. It is a time to encourage one another, to pray for the needs of others, and to develop unity. Joy and laughter are tools that can ease life’s burdens, but true and lasting joy comes from a relationship with Christ. God never intended for us to bear our burdens alone, but to trust Jesus and to rely on Him for strength and guidance. We have this one life to live, so let us live joyfully and trust Him with our lives. Father, thank You for Christian fellowship and for laughter. But mostly, thank You for the lasting joy found in Christ that is not dependent on our circumstances. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Radical New Covenant Bible Studies for Radical Freedom in Christ
Jesus poured out His blood for the New Covenant of grace and truth, replacing the Old Covenant letter of the law of Moses. Believers are exclusively under the New Covenant, the last will and testament of Jesus that began after the cross. And in the same way He took the cup after they had eaten, saying, "This cup which is poured out for you is the new covenant in My blood. Luke 22:20

Perfect to equip the believer for defending their faith. Ideal to send to a skeptical friend or family member. Great for teens and young adults who have never reviewed the objective evidence for God's existence and identity.
An in-depth study of the factual evidence leads a person to realize how little faith they need to believe, while they gain great faith at the same time.
Running close to 5 stars with over 180 online reviews.
Recent Amazon Review:
"For anyone on the fence, backsliding, or doubtful this book clarifies misunderstandings, perceived contradictions, and outright lies. I was led to read this book at a time when I thought I was over Jesus; but truth defeats lies every time and never forsakes the believer." 2-18-17 |
