STRENGTHENED BY FAITH - Deepika Emmanuel Sagar We all know about Daniel. He was a young man when he was brought to the king’s palace. He was handsome, quick to understand, had an aptitude for every kind of learning and a strong faith (Dan 1:4, 1:8). But more importantly, he had favour with God (Dan 1:9) that gave him access to the king’s palace. So where did this strong faith come from that led God to favour him?
There is a very good chance it originated with his parents who trained him up in faith and helped make him fit to serve a king for the King of kings. The role of parenting can be huge in shaping the skills and strengths of a child. From the chapters of Daniel, we can see how strong his faith was; ‘Daniel resolved not to defile himself’ (Dn 1:8). It takes well-established faith to do such a thing at his young age, especially in a foreign culture and in the king’s house filled with temptation.
As parents, it’s our role to impart the faith and values that God wants his children to have. Later, as they go on to face the hardships in this fallen world, they will draw upon these attributes. But, we cannot give them something we do not have ourselves. Therefore, it should be our goal to develop our faith and pass on spiritual strength to our children. Spiritual strength that will ooze out of them at times of temptation and trial and bring the favour of God.
As we see evil things becoming a part of our culture, we can be assured that our children will need spiritual strength. As parents, let's make a difference so they too will walk in God’s Favour.
Dr. Deepika Emmanuel Sagar lives in India with her husband and son. She loves to write for the spread of His glory. Contact |

Radical New Covenant Bible Studies for Radical Freedom in Christ
Jesus poured out His blood for the New Covenant of grace and truth, replacing the Old Covenant letter of the law of Moses. Believers are exclusively under the New Covenant, the last will and testament of Jesus that began after the cross. And in the same way He took the cup after they had eaten, saying, "This cup which is poured out for you is the new covenant in My blood. Luke 22:20

Perfect to equip the believer for defending their faith. Ideal to send to a skeptical friend or family member. Great for teens and young adults who have never reviewed the objective evidence for God's existence and identity.
An in-depth study of the factual evidence leads a person to realize how little faith they need to believe, while they gain great faith at the same time.
Running close to 5 stars with over 180 online reviews.
Recent Amazon Review:
"For anyone on the fence, backsliding, or doubtful this book clarifies misunderstandings, perceived contradictions, and outright lies. I was led to read this book at a time when I thought I was over Jesus; but truth defeats lies every time and never forsakes the believer." 2-18-17 |
