An Evening Offering - Karen Pourbabaee
“Forgive all iniquity and receive what is good…” Hosea 14:3 NAS
In the rich traditions of many Christian faiths, the examination of one’s day is reserved for the evening hours. It’s a time to reflect upon God’s presence in our lives and to see His hand at work. It’s also a time to reflect upon our responses to His presence and gentle nudging. Did I respond in obedience to His leading? Or was I so self-absorbed that I didn’t even hear His voice? Was I worried and fearful when I should have been trusting and faithful? Did I surrender to His grace? Or did I succumb to sin? What did I fail to do today? What did I fail to be today? Just a few questions we can use to prayerfully look at our day.
But at day’s end, we can offer the whole of our lives to the Lord, unashamed; He loves us as we are. Romans 12:1 urges, “…offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God, your spiritual worship.” No matter how we answer the examination questions, we can be assured, “…the Lord is compassionate and merciful.” (James 5:11) His mercy derives from His great wellspring of Love for each one of us, so aptly shown in Ephesians 2:4-5: “But, God, who is rich in mercy, because of the great love he had for us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, brought us to life with Christ (by grace you have been saved).”
When we acknowledge our iniquity, He showers His mercy upon us. When we offer up our lives, He receives what is good. A compassionate and merciful God awaits our evening offering.

Radical New Covenant Bible Studies for Radical Freedom in Christ
Jesus poured out His blood for the New Covenant of grace and truth, replacing the Old Covenant letter of the law of Moses. Believers are exclusively under the New Covenant, the last will and testament of Jesus that began after the cross. And in the same way He took the cup after they had eaten, saying, "This cup which is poured out for you is the new covenant in My blood. Luke 22:20

Perfect to equip the believer for defending their faith. Ideal to send to a skeptical friend or family member. Great for teens and young adults who have never reviewed the objective evidence for God's existence and identity.
An in-depth study of the factual evidence leads a person to realize how little faith they need to believe, while they gain great faith at the same time.
Running close to 5 stars with over 180 online reviews.
Recent Amazon Review:
"For anyone on the fence, backsliding, or doubtful this book clarifies misunderstandings, perceived contradictions, and outright lies. I was led to read this book at a time when I thought I was over Jesus; but truth defeats lies every time and never forsakes the believer." 2-18-17 |
