Traces of Faith - Breisha Smith I believe.
I believed in the words “mama” and “da-da” as my parents spoke them to me, awaiting a verbatim response. I trusted the unpredicted as I freely permitted myself to let go and take my first step. I believed in the gender and ethnicity that I was proudly taught; which I convey with confidence. I believed in the legacy of world-changing acts by men and women across the nations.
Faith was a factor in my life before I knew the meaning thereof. I believe we were created naturally as faith-based creatures. Almost everything we desire in life begins with an Idea and hope.
Hebrews 11:1(NIV) Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
Jesus, the Son of God, lived on earth as an extraordinary man walking in love, peace, joy, kindness, faithfulness, self-control, and long-suffering left a legacy by living an impeccable lifestyle; also, he was generous to give us all faith the size of a grain of a mustard seed. By faith we learned to talk, by faith we took our first step, by faith we were confident in our being, by faith we used a light bulb. By faith, we witness the miracles, signs, and wonders of our living God, Jesus Christ. Embrace your faith.
Father, God we thank you for revealing to us the power of faith and opening our eyes to the ability we have to use our faith effectively. Bless us to grow our faith in you, In Jesus name, Amen.
