Jesus' Rib - David Guion So we, who are many, are one body in Christ and individually members one of another (Romans 12:5) Sixteenth-century English theologian Richard Hooker wrote, "The church is in Christ as Eve was in Adam." After Adam had walked with God long enough to watch the garden grow and name all the animals, he knew God by experience. Then, Eve was surgically removed from Adam's broken body. She was made of the same substance as Adam, but newly created and untested. Eve had limited experience with God, and neither had encountered Satan. Therefore, she was an easy mark for the deceiver's lies that lead humanity to fall into slavery under Satan. Then, Christ encountered and conquered Satan—both as God the Son and as the Son of Man.
As Eve came from Adam, the church sprang forth from Jesus' broken body. Chosen by God, Eve was a suitable wife for Adam because she was bone of his bone, flesh of his flesh. Likewise, the church is a suitable bride for Christ. Born of Christ our Father sees her spotless and without blemish, washed completely clean by the blood of his beloved Son.
Unlike Adam and Eve, the church today has ample experience with God and Satan. Therefore, she should be less vulnerable to temptation, even though as individuals our flesh remains a fallen child of Eve until we die.
In Christ, the church has the power and truth to overcome Satan’s attacks.

Perfect to equip the believer for defending their faith. Ideal to send to a skeptical friend or family member. Great for teens and young adults who have never reviewed the objective evidence for God's existence and identity.
An in-depth study of the factual evidence leads a person to realize how little faith they need to believe, while they gain great faith at the same time.
Running close to 5 stars with over 180 online reviews.
Recent Amazon Review:
"For anyone on the fence, backsliding, or doubtful this book clarifies misunderstandings, perceived contradictions, and outright lies. I was led to read this book at a time when I thought I was over Jesus; but truth defeats lies every time and never forsakes the believer." 2-18-17 |
