Euphoria to the Max – Antje Hill
I could see the road sign ahead of us and remembered the first time I had seen this mom bear and her two cubs, indicating bears in the vicinity. I grabbed my phone and made a photo to send my sons, as this is not a typical sign on Texas highways. I smiled as we drove by, remembering my first glimpse of it. The excitement had abated. I thought, too, of my first visit back to this northern country. I couldn’t stop the tears of joy. Now as we make our way back each year, my most common thought on our arrival is, "I’m glad all those miles are behind us.”
I’ve wondered why our first reaction to that new home feeling, new car feeling, new job feeling, or newly-wed feeling can’t continue. Genuine feelings can still be there, but euphoria that Webster defines as intense excitement eludes us after a while. There’s only one area of my life where this never, ever happens.
Whether in the early hours of the morning or the stillness of the night, there’s no letdown with God. When we get serious with Him, He sees our sincerity and rewards us with a relationship that this world can’t even come close to. He assures me I’m not supposed to be permanently excited here and reminds me, “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him. (I Cor. 2:9 NKJV) I believe just being in the presence of a Father that loves to such a degree will be ultimate satisfaction with no letdowns. Antje is a columnist for Parents & Kids Magazine. She and her husband, Richard, spend time between Mississippi and Michigan. Contact |

Perfect to equip the believer for defending their faith. Ideal to send to a skeptical friend or family member. Great for teens and young adults who have never reviewed the objective evidence for God's existence and identity.
An in-depth study of the factual evidence leads a person to realize how little faith they need to believe, while they gain great faith at the same time.
Running close to 5 stars with over 180 online reviews.
Recent Amazon Review:
"For anyone on the fence, backsliding, or doubtful this book clarifies misunderstandings, perceived contradictions, and outright lies. I was led to read this book at a time when I thought I was over Jesus; but truth defeats lies every time and never forsakes the believer." 2-18-17 |
