Through His Eyes Deborah Mayers
Someone Loved Me
No one could have ever convinced me that the hole in my soul would someday be healed as a result of being filled with the love of Christ. I just assumed my inner pain, shame, self-hatred, loss of dignity and self-respect would be a permanent part of my life—until the very end.

It is God's Work – Toni Babcock
Jesus answered and said unto them, "This is the work of God - that ye believe on him whom he hath sent." (John 6:29 KJV)
Once the love of God captures us, we let go and let God do His work. We stop trying to dictate the terms of our salvation, and just rest in Jesus, lost sinners though we were before we knew Him.
Love has no problem with the work of God sans man. It allows God to do all and be all. It trusts Christ explicitly without reservation, and without condition. In a nutshell, it bows the heart and sacrifices the willful self in holy surrender to the will of God. Mankind tends to take pride in the will, but it can be a faulty fixation. We cannot will our way into heaven. We can only surrender our will to God's will, Jesus Christ being our supreme example.
It is God who formed our will and influences it on a daily basis. We would have no will to do one good thing if it were not for the good will of God. We must have Jesus if we are to do anything spiritually good, for "without Me ye can do nothing" Jesus said. (John 15:5 KJV). It is the surrender of repentance. If we discover we are unwilling to do His will at any given time and later desire to repent, our Father always lovingly welcomes our change of mind, and return to that place of surrender where we once died to self. Repentance, after all, is a lifelong exercise, not some laurel to rest our faith upon. Death to our own will, life to God's will, is a choice we can make every day through the power of Christ. It is God's work.

Perfect to equip the believer for defending their faith. Ideal to send to a skeptical friend or family member. Great for teens and young adults who have never reviewed the objective evidence for God's existence and identity.
An in-depth study of the factual evidence leads a person to realize how little faith they need to believe, while they gain great faith at the same time.
Running close to 5 stars with over 180 online reviews.
Recent Amazon Review:
"For anyone on the fence, backsliding, or doubtful this book clarifies misunderstandings, perceived contradictions, and outright lies. I was led to read this book at a time when I thought I was over Jesus; but truth defeats lies every time and never forsakes the believer." 2-18-17 |
